On the occasion of the Sharadiya Durga Puja, BNP National Executive Committee Assistant Organizing Secretary Selimuzzaman Selim visited various puja mandaps in Kashiani Upazila of Gopalganj. During his visit, he emphasized that people of all faiths in Bangladesh have traditionally celebrated their festivals together, noting that ensuring equal safety during celebrations is paramount.
On Tuesday, he toured community temples across Kashiani, Mahmudpur, and Sajail unions. He exchanged views with local puja committee leaders and devotees, distributing clothes and financial support to enhance the festive joy across the temples.
Kashiani Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Shahin Mia and Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Mahfuzur Rahman accompanied him along with local representatives. Officials assured that all security measures are firmly in place to ensure an uninterrupted and peaceful festival.
Leaders urged the public to stay vigilant against baseless rumors and immediately contact local administration and police if any suspicious activity occurs, ensuring the celebrations conclude smoothly in a spirit of harmony.
