Speakers at a discussion meeting in Dhaka said that it is not possible to change society through laws alone. For this, we must become good human beings and respect the rights of others. Establishing the rule of law and human values is crucial for the development and peace of the country.
The seminar titled 'Rule of Law and Our Responsibilities' was organized at an auditorium in the capital yesterday. Legal experts, educators, and social workers of the country participated in the event. Speakers said that to reduce crime in society, children must be taught good behavior and morality from an early age.
Participating in the discussion, the speakers also said that although laws exist, they are often not properly implemented. It must be ensured that common people get justice easily. At the same time, they emphasized standing by the underprivileged people in society and treating everyone equally.
Everyone present at the seminar agreed that it is not possible for the government or administration alone to bring peace to society. The rule of law will be established in the country only if every citizen performs their duties correctly. A call was made for everyone to work together to build a beautiful and discrimination-free society.
“The rule of law and human values are the foundation of a civilized society. Simply enacting strict laws cannot curb crime unless moral values are awakened among citizens. This discussion highlights the need to foster respect for the law and empathy for others at all levels of society.”
