US targets Iran's trade partners to isolate Tehran

US policymakers argue that without stopping cooperation from these nations, it is impossible to fully corner Iran.

However, convincing these countries to halt trade with Iran remains a significant challenge for the US. Nations like China and Turkey prioritize their own national interests and continue to maintain ties with Iran despite US sanctions. Similarly, the UAE is reluctant to shut down transactions with Iran, given its status as a regional commercial hub.

Experts suggest that if the US forcefully imposes sanctions on these partner countries, it could trigger new instability in the global economy. In particular, it could further strain relations between Washington and Beijing. The success of this plan will depend heavily on how the US negotiates with these nations in the coming days.
