New Faces Join National Citizen Party's Highest Policy Forum

The National Citizen Party (NCP) has reconstituted its highest policy-making body, the Political Council, aiming to streamline strategic decision-making and accommodate emerging leaders. The restructuring was formally announced in an official party release, bringing notable new faces into the central leadership forum.

Prominently inducted into the council are two lawmakers from reserved women seats, Nusrat Tabassum and Dr. Mahmuda Alam Mitu. Following these additions, the total strength of the NCP's Political Council has expanded to 16 members, growing from its initial count of 10 members at the party's inception.

The reconstituted forum continues under the leadership of Convener Md. Nahid Islam and Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain. Key figures including Senior Joint Conveners Nasiruddin Patwary and Hasnat Abdullah, and Senior Joint Member Secretaries Md. Sarjis Alam and Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain remain prominent, alongside other leading members like Advocate Abdullah Al Amin, Dr. Atiq Mujahid, and Abdul Hannan Masud.

Political observers view the induction of female lawmakers and prominent youth figures into the apex committee as an effort to ensure balanced representation and strategic vigor. Moving forward, this 16-member council is set to direct the party's core political strategies and organizational roadmap.
