The hanging body of a police member has been recovered from inside the official bungalow of the Superintendent of Police (SP) in Gaibandha district town. Other police personnel spotted the body hanging in a room of the bungalow and informed the local police station. Later, police recovered the body, causing a stir in the area.
It is reported that the deceased police member was in charge of security at the bungalow. Like any other day, he went to his room to sleep after completing his duty. However, when his colleagues did not see him for a long time, they went to call him. Finding the door locked from inside, they looked through the window and saw his hanging body.
Upon receiving the news, Gaibandha Sadar Police and senior officials rushed to the spot. They broke open the door, recovered the body, and sent it to the Gaibandha General Hospital morgue for an autopsy. Police stated that the exact cause of death will be known once the autopsy report is available.
An investigation committee is being formed by the police administration to look into the incident. Police are investigating whether this was a suicide, murder, or if there is another reason behind it. The family members of the deceased have been informed, and further legal action will be taken upon their arrival.
