Salesman killed after being run over by truck in Bogura

A salesman was killed after being run over by a speeding truck while crossing the road in the Charmatha area of Bogura city. The accident occurred this morning. The deceased worked as a sales representative for a local private company. Bystanders rushed to the spot immediately, but he had already passed away.

According to eyewitnesses, the man had set out for his daily work in the morning. While crossing the road near the Charmatha bus terminal, a Rangpur-bound cargo truck ran him over. He died on the spot after being crushed under the wheels. Upon receiving the news, police quickly arrived at the scene, recovered the body, and sent it to the hospital for an autopsy.

Following the incident, local residents and pedestrians expressed their anger. They stated that speeding vehicles frequently drive recklessly in this area, leading to regular accidents. Bogura Sadar Police confirmed that while they managed to seize the killer truck, the driver and helper fled the scene. Police are currently trying to apprehend them.

To prevent further road accidents, local residents have demanded the deployment of traffic police and the installation of speed breakers at this busy intersection. Police officials stated that preparations are underway to file a case regarding the incident, and surveillance will be increased in the area to ensure road safety.
